Jealousy of poetry

I enjoy writing at times. But like many other things in my life... I put it off. I need to develop more constructive hobbies. I truly believe that I have the makings of a really good writer at times. I am a decent communicator and I have a vivid imagination.

Now I also have a cousin, Steve Carr, who writes blog entries with the consistancy of the sun (i.e. daily). I had hoped that I would have been writing daily entries but, alas, no. Perhaps my cousin is just a better "ranter" than I.

Whatever it is, I am hoping to develop better writing chops in this new year. I have visions of writing stories and screenplays and I really think that it would not be a waste of time if I would just sit down and dump my brain onto paper (or a digital flat panel display).

Anyway, to Steve and other faithful bloggers, I say well done and I hope to become one of you.
